The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Zamfara State has elected Hon. Kamilu Sa’idu as its candidate for the Kaura Namoda North State Constituency forward of the by-election scheduled for August 16, 2025.
Sa’idu emerged unopposed on Sunday following the withdrawal of three different aspirants, Hon. Bashir Muhammad Madaro (Walin Kurya), Hon. Anas S/Fada, and Alhaji Ashiru Hamisu Habibu, in the course of the get together main held at Kasuwar Daji Major College.
Thirty delegates from the six wards of Kagara, Dan-Isa, Sakajiki, Kurya, Kyambarawa, and Banga affirmed Sa’idu’s candidacy via consensus.
The aspirants who stepped down pledged their full help to make sure the get together’s victory within the by-election.
Asserting the outcome, the chairman of the APC main election committee from the get together’s nationwide secretariat, Barr. Babande B. Imam, declared Kamilu Sa’idu the duly elected candidate, noting that the method complied with the APC structure and was witnessed by INEC officers led by Dr. Muhammad Isah.
“Kamilu, having fulfilled all of the get together’s constitutional necessities and affirmed by the delegates of the six wards of the State Meeting Constituency, is hereby declared the APC candidate for the forthcoming by-election,” Imam stated, including that the method was freed from any irregularities.
The first was attended by key get together stakeholders, together with the state APC chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani; Secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima; Deputy Chairman, Alh. Hassan Marafa Damri; former Chairman, Hon. Lawal M. Liman; his Secretary, Hon. Sani Musa T/Mafara; and different members of the state working committee resembling Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau; Welfare Secretary, Bashir Idris Ataka; State Youth Chief, Musa Idris Ardo; and Assistant Publicity Secretary, Junaidu Attahiru Dosara.
