The Moroccan Soccer Federation, FRMF, has formally filed a petition to the Confederation of African Soccer, CAF, calling for the suspension of Namibian referee Antsino Twanyanyukwa for supposedly failing to award a significant penalty in the course of the remaining of the 2024 Ladies’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, towards the Tremendous Falcons of Nigeria final Saturday.

As reported by Morocco World Information, the petition cites “refereeing injustices”.

FRMF claimed that Twanyanyukwa’s determination considerably influenced the results of the WAFCON remaining.

Recall that within the 82nd minute, the scoreline was tied at 2-2 when the referee gave Morocco a penalty.

Twanyanyukwa took the choice after she suspected handball by Nigeria’s Oluwatosin Demehin.

However after Video Assistant Referee, VAR, assessment, Twanyanyukwa overturned her determination as a result of Demehin’s arm was near her physique.

In the meantime, a couple of minutes later, Nigeria scored the successful purpose by way of Jennifer Echegini because the match ended 3-2.
