Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has issued a stern warning to Nigerians and election officers relating to the 2027 elections.
In an announcement Monday shared on social media, he stated: “Not like previously, in 2027 our votes MUST depend, and all those that are there to not depend the votes will likely be counted amongst these destroying Nigeria.
“I encourage everybody to stay on the polling models after voting to depend and witness the counting and transmission of outcomes. Those that refuse to permit the votes depend will likely be made to depend the complete weight of the legislation towards rigging. Let me reiterate: if you don’t depend our votes, we’ll depend you amongst those that destroy our democracy, thereby destroying our future, and you could reply to the legislation.”
Obi’s message underscores the significance of vigilance on the polls and the necessity for the integrity of the electoral course of to be upheld.
He referred to as on Nigerians to watch the counting of votes and warned that anybody trying to subvert the individuals’s mandate will face authorized penalties.
