    Umuada Productions secures multimedia adaptation rights to Flora Nwapa’s Wives at War

    Umuada Productions stated it has secured the unique multimedia adaptation rights to Wives at Battle, a seminal quick story assortment by the mom of contemporary African literature, Flora Nwapa.

    The groundbreaking work, initially printed in 1980 by Tana Press, might be reimagined throughout graphic novels, quick and feature-length movies, tv collection, and podcasts.

    “It is a dream come true,” stated Anaecheri A. Okwuosa, Founder and CEO of Umuada Productions.

    “I grew up with Miss Flora Nwapa’s work. Who knew that at some point, we’d be right here, creating the proper vitality for its rightful resurgence? As an Oguta lady, telling her tales honours my tradition. I look ahead to translating it via compelling visible storytelling.”

    Flora Nwapa, celebrated as a pioneer of African feminine literature championing the Igbo lady perspective, explored themes of womanhood, struggle, and postcolonial identification in her writing. Wives at Battle, her richly textured assortment, confronts the complexities of survival, sisterhood, and resistance throughout and after the Biafran Battle, making it particularly resonant immediately.

    “We, the kids of Flora Nwapa, are proud of the longer term adaptation of Wives at Battle by Umuada Productions,” stated Uzoma Nwakuche, talking on behalf of the household.

     “This work additional immortalizes Flora Nwapa’s legacy and gives a brand new perspective in the best way her work is appreciated globally.”

    A Visible Renaissance of African Ladies’s Tales

    Umuada Productions, a Lagos-based multimedia firm, is devoted to amplifying African feminine voices, one story at a time. With a particular “book-to-graphic-novel-to-screen” mannequin, Umuada adapts basic Nigerian and African literature into accessible, visually beautiful codecs that resonate throughout generations.
