The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday challenged the previous Labour Occasion presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to decide on between Nigeria and desperation.
It mentioned Obi should resolve whether or not he stands with Nigeria or his “ever-shrinking echo chamber of bitterness and resentment.”
Mogaji Seye Oladejo, the spokesman of the state arm of the celebration, was reacting to Obi’s response to the declaration of Nigeria as a Nation of Specific Concern.
Obi had blamed the designation on Nigerian leaders’ incompetence and lack of prudent use of sources.
Reacting, Oladejo, in a press release, mentioned: “Obi should select, Nigeria or desperation.
“Obi should resolve whether or not he stands with Nigeria or together with his ever-shrinking echo chamber of bitterness and resentment. No severe nation is constructed on the politics of sulking and sensationalism.
“His current behaviour confirms why Nigerians rejected him, management calls for maturity, not melodrama and delayed outrage.”
Oladejo mentioned Nigeria will rise with or with out the naysayers.
“Nigeria is not going to bow to these rooting for its challenges to worsen.
“We urge the general public to remain centered on the Renewed Hope Agenda and reject people who revenue politically from nationwide issue.
“Nigeria will succeed, regardless of these praying for its failure and reacting solely when compelled by public stress,” he added.
