Manchester Metropolis are set to hijack Manchester United’s transfer to signal Carlos Baleba from Brighton.

Based on ESPN, the Seagulls have slapped a £104m price ticket on Baleba.

Earlier this week, United “made contact” through intermediaries, in a bid to discover the situations of a transfer for the midfielder.

United have made Baleba their predominant targets, as they continue to be eager to recruit a brand new No.6.

It was initially thought the 21-year-old would value £90m plus £10m in add-ons, however Brighton are demanding €120m (£104m).

Metropolis have now joined the race to signal Baleba, with Pep Guardiola believed to be long-term admirer of the Cameroonian.

Nevertheless, Brighton need to need to hold Baleba on the Amex for not less than one other 12 months.
