There was heavy gridlock on the Third Mainland Bridge, yesterday morning, as protesting residents of Oworonshoki, Kosofe Native Authorities Space of Lagos, blocked the inward lane of the bridge over the demolition of homes within the space by the state authorities.
The demonstration, in keeping with our correspondent who was caught within the visitors, started at daybreak and left hundreds of commuters stranded, forcing motorists to divert to various routes into the mainland.
Residents, seen in giant numbers, accused the state authorities of demolishing their homes with out ample discover or compensation, alleging that many households had been rendered homeless.
