    Taraba LG poll: APC threatens legal action over ‘prohibitive’ nomination fee

    The Taraba State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has threatened to take authorized motion towards the Taraba State Unbiased Electoral Fee, TSIEC, accusing the physique of imposing unconstitutional and exorbitant nomination charges forward of the upcoming native authorities elections.

    El-Sudi condemned the costs, labeling them unconstitutional and a violation of democratic ideas.

    “The structure doesn’t mandate any charges to be paid to INEC, and by extension, state electoral commissions don’t have any authorized grounds to impose such expenses. This can be a ploy to frustrate political events, particularly in a time of financial hardship,” he stated.
