    The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Growth, Festus Keyamo, has warned airline operators within the nation towards transporting Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly often called KWAM 1, through the interval of his suspension.

    The Minister issued the warning in a press release on Thursday, August 7, 2025, directing the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to position the Fuji maestro on a no-fly record following an altercation with airport officers on Tuesday.

    In a viral video on-line, KWAM 1 can be seen arguing with airport officers after he was prevented from boarding a ValueJet airplane on the Nnamdi Azikiwe Worldwide Airport, Abuja.

    The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) confirmed in a press release on Wednesday that airport officers stopped Ayinde from getting on the flight due to his insistence on boarding with an obese flask containing what’s suspected to be alcohol, a substance prohibited on board plane in Nigeria.

    Footage of the altercation confirmed the moments KWAM 1 escaped being hit by the wing of the plane simply by the whiskers after the pilot began taxiing with out adherence to mandatory protocols.

    This prompted the NCAA to droop the pilot and the captain for six months.

    Keyamo faults NCAA

    In his response on Thursday, the Aviation Minister said he had reviewed studies from aviation companies and examined video footage of the August 5, 2025, incident.

    “Opposite to what the brokers of Kwam 1 have stated, he consistently moved his place on the tarmac to ACTUALLY BLOCK the plane from taxiing to take place on the runway for take-off,” he stated.

    “That is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE behaviour. It’s the bodily blockage of the plane from taxiing that’s the reprehensible conduct right here, which is akin to a hostage scenario.”

    Keyamo additionally condemned the motion of the pilot and captain of the plane for continuing to taxi regardless of security considerations, stating that each events breached normal security protocol as required by the Worldwide Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

    Although he recommended the NCAA for withdrawing the pilot’s licence pending investigation, the Minister criticised what he known as the one-sided motion and directed the company to position KWAM 1 on a no-fly record.
