The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, on Saturday hinted that Rivers and Bayelsa states could quickly be part of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Akpabio disclosed this throughout a grand reception held to formally welcome Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State into APC.
He expressed hope that APC would sweep your complete South-South area forward of the 2027 elections.
In keeping with Akpabio: “Governor Sheriff of Delta State thanks for becoming a member of the progressive household and shifting the South South in a progressive path.
“Governor Umo Eno, after you, Rivers State will simply tumble, after Rivers State, Bayelsa will be part of.
“We gained election with Governor Otu in Edo State and we produced an amiable Monday Okpebholo, congratulations as soon as once more to your victory.”
In April, Eno had hinted at leaving the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for APC.
The governor had blamed the interior disaster throughout the PDP for his determination to go away the get together for APC.
On June 6, the governor officially defected from PDP to APC at an occasion in Uyo, the state capital.
