The police command in Enugu State has detained three masqueraders within the Nsukka space of the state for allegedly assaulting law-abiding residents.
The command’s spokesman, SP Daniel Ndukwe, mentioned in a press release in Enugu on Tuesday that police operatives, with the help of members of the neighborhood, led to the arrest of the suspects on June 23 at 3:30 p.m.
He mentioned that the arrest of the suspects was in reference to the alleged bodily assault of residents by the ‘Oriokpa’ Masquerade group on June 22 as seen in a viral video.
