Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has formally withdrawn his membership of the Folks’s Democratic Celebration (PDP), citing the necessity for targeted management, clear path and improved service supply.
In a letter dated 29 December 2025 and addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman of Ampang West Ward within the Mangu Native Authorities Space, the Governor introduced his resignation with rapid impact.
The letter, acknowledged by the ward management a day later, conveyed appreciation to the celebration for affording him the chance to serve throughout the democratic system.
Mutfwang thanked celebration leaders and supporters for his or her backing through the years, noting that prevailing political circumstances necessitated his choice.
The event has stirred political curiosity in Plateau, with hypothesis that the governor might align with the APC, although no formal declaration has been made but.
