The Peoples Democratic Social gathering, PDP, has begun an expanded caucus assembly at its Nationwide Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, after an earlier police siege on the venue.
DAILY POST gathered that the expanded caucus assembly got here after a closed-door assembly by governors elected on the platform of the celebration on the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
Current on the assembly have been Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, in addition to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Governor Mohammed, who additionally chairs the PDP Governors’ Discussion board, whereas chatting with reporters, addressed the sooner police presence at the secretariat, describing the blockade as essential to “stop miscreants” from hijacking the assembly.

PDP officers blasted the police deployment to Wadata Plaza, calling it an act of harassment.
A former nationwide secretary of the PDP, Umar Tsauri, informed newsmen that the police claimed they have been appearing on an “order from above”.
Nonetheless, the FCT Police Command, denied sealing off the secretariat.
In a press release, its spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, stated officers have been solely deployed to take care of regulation and order, stating, “At no time was the Secretariat sealed off by the police.”
