    Obi calls for improved security after 50 worshippers killed in mosque

    The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Occasion (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has stated that except the federal government tackles the foundation reason behind insecurity, Nigeria will proceed to mourn avoidable deaths.

    Obi stated this in response to the bloodbath of over 50 worshippers killed in a mosque by terrorists in a group in Katsina State.

    In a put up on his X deal with, the previous Anambra State Governor stated, “The tragic information from Katsina has grown much more devastating, because the search continues with over 50 our bodies now recovered.

    “This horrendous act goes past an assault on harmless worshippers, it’s one other painful reminder of the worsening state of insecurity in our nation.

    “Nigerian lives should now have worth to us as leaders, we can’t proceed to deal with these incidents as abnormal statistics. Behind each quantity is a father, a mom, a toddler and lives reduce brief with households shattered. The dignity of human life should be restored as a sacred precedence in our nation.

    “I repeat that except we urgently sort out the foundation causes of insecurity, we are going to proceed to mourn pointless losses.

    “My heartfelt condolences as soon as once more go to the grieving households, the individuals and authorities of Katsina, and all Nigerians who reside in concern of such every day tragedies.

    “Might we discover the braveness to rebuild a nation the place the safety of lives and property just isn’t a privilege, however a proper assured to each citizen. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO.”
