A former spokesman for the Labour Get together’s Presidential Marketing campaign Council, Kenneth Okonkwo, has stated no southern candidate can defeat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
In line with Okonkwo, handing the only real ticket of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, to a southerner is synonymous with declaring Tinubu the winner of the presidential election.
Earlier within the interview, Okonkwo stated he would solely assist a northern candidate who’s widespread and able to successful states within the area.
“Anyone telling you to convey a contemporary southerner to compete towards Tinubu, a southerner, is attempting to let you know to zone the ticket to Tinubu, and Tinubu will win outrightly,” Okonkwo stated.
Okonkwo supported Peter Obi and the Labour Get together within the 2023 presidential election, however in July 2024, he parted methods with the previous Anambra governor and left the Labour Get together.
