In a telephone interview with the Public Relations Officer, Impartial Petroleum Entrepreneurs Affiliation of Nigeria, IPMAN, Mr. Chinedu Ukadike attributed the hike to produce and logistics challenges incurred by main entrepreneurs within the trade, which embody NNPCL and Dangote Refinery.
He famous: “Dangote elevated their loading value to N845 per litre, as in opposition to N825 earlier bought, thereby ensuing to a promoting value of between N900 and N955, relying on the placement.
“We’re conscious that NNPCL provides solely to their stores. Presently, the availability at Dangote is just not adequate for entrepreneurs. Most of our members, who paid for merchandise to Dangote, are but to load for 2 weeks now.
“I’ll say that when individuals are scrambling for merchandise, it outcomes to hike in value. Some entrepreneurs, who paid to purchase about three million litres from Dangote, had been solely given a million litres, as they complained of merchandise being rationed, amongst entrepreneurs.”
