    NiMet forecasts 3-day dust haze, sunshine

    The Nigerian Meteorological Company (NiMet) has predicted mud haze and sunshine from Saturday to Monday throughout the nation.

    NiMet’s climate outlook launched on Friday in Abuja envisaged slight mud haze over components of Borno, Jigawa, Katsina, Kano, Zamfara and Sokoto States on Saturday.

    It predicted the remaining components of the North to be sunny all through the forecast interval.

    ‎”For the central area, sunny skies with few cloud patches are anticipated over the area all through the forecast interval.

    ‎”Sunny skies with patches of clouds are anticipated over the southern area,” it stated.

    It predicted prospects of remoted thunderstorms with mild rains over components of Abia, Imo, Anambra, Edo, Ekiti, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Delta, Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers and Akwa Ibom States later within the day.

    In keeping with the forecast, average mud haze with visibility values between 2 km and 5 km is anticipated over components of Kano, Katsina, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Jigawa and Borno States on Sunday.
