    NABTEB extends timeline for 2026 NCEE registration

    The Nationwide Enterprise and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) has prolonged the registration timeline for the 2026 Nationwide Frequent Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Technical Faculties, assuring stakeholders of a seamless course of.

    The Registrar and Chief Govt Officer of NABTEB, Dr Aminu Mohammed, made this recognized in a press release issued on Sunday in Benin by way of the board’s Assistant. Director, Media and Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah.

    Mohammed stated the board had accepted a four-month registration window for the examination, including that the transfer was aimed toward easing pressures on candidates and households.

    He stated the registration would begin on Jan. 26 and shut on Could 24, whereas the examination can be carried out nationwide on June 6.

    The registrar defined that this adopted the Minister of Training, Dr Tunji Alausa, approving the 2026 examination and registration framework.

    “This prolonged timeline is a deliberate coverage choice to permit ample preparation, scale back congestion on the registration platform and minimise monetary and logistical burdens on dad and mom and guardians,” he stated.

    The registrar added that the board had strengthened its administrative and technological programs to make sure that the registration course of was user-friendly, accessible and freed from disruptions.

    “NABTEB has put in place complete measures to ensure a clean and stress-free registration expertise for candidates, dad and mom, guardians and faculties, whereas sustaining the very best requirements of examination integrity,” Mohammed stated.

    The NABTEB chief government, nonetheless, urged potential candidates to register solely by way of the official NABTEB on-line portal.

    He warned potential candidates towards the usage of unauthorised brokers or third-party platforms.

    “All purposes should be processed completely by way of NABTEB’s official portal.

    The registrar reaffirmed NABTEB’s dedication to professionalism and transparency.

    He stated the board remained centered on increasing entry to technical training whereas safeguarding the credibility of its examinations.

    Mohammed additionally inspired Nigerians to benefit from alternatives provided by Technical and Vocational Training and Coaching, describing it as a pathway to employable abilities, entrepreneurship and financial self-reliance.

    “Technical and Vocational Training and Coaching equips younger individuals with sensible competencies required for nationwide growth.

    “Nigerians are inspired to decide on abilities, select alternative and select a safe future,” he stated.

    NABTEB, he added, would proceed to work carefully with the federal ministry of training and different stakeholders to strengthen skills-based training and help Nigeria’s human capital growth objectives.
