The Kogi State Impartial Electoral Fee (KOSIEC) has mounted Oct. 17, 2026, for the conduct of the native authorities space election within the state.
The Chairman of the Fee, Mr Nderi Mamman, made the disclosure throughout a stakeholders assembly held on Wednesday in Lokoja.
Mamman stated that the fee was very able to conduct the chairmanship and councillorship elections throughout the 21 native governments and 239 electoral wards of the state.
“The issuance of the election discover is according to Part 28(1) of the Electoral Act, 2022, which mandates the publication of an election discover not later than 360 days earlier than the date appointed for the election.
