The Speaker of the Ondo State Home of Meeting, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, has stated that the calls for of the 12 lawmakers calling for his impeachment had been private and never for the betterment of the state.
That is coming as 14 lawmakers within the Meeting handed a vote of confidence within the Speaker.
Talking with newsmen in Akure on the alleged plot to question him, the Speaker stated that the agitations of the aggrieved lawmakers had been a misplaced precedence.
Oladiji declared that their agitation can not frustrate the Meeting from amending and passing the re-ordered 2025 State Appropriation Price range introduced by the state governor, Fortunate Aiyedatiwa.
Whereas declaring that he was not apprehensive by their impeachment risk, the Speaker stated that he would all the time be sure that the Meeting performs its constitutional duties with out pointless politics forward of the 2027 common elections.
Flanked by the Deputy Speaker, Olalade Gbegudu; the Chairman, Home Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi; in addition to the Ilaje-II lawmaker, Fayemi-Obayelu Olawumi, he requested the individuals of the state to discountenance the decision for his removing over allegations of gross misconduct.

The decision to move the vote of confidence within the Speaker was signed by 14 out of the 26 members of the Meeting.

Hon. Agbulu Tope Akeem – Akoko South-West II.
Of their decision, the 14 lawmakers stated that “the alleged declare of misappropriation of month-to-month operational grants of the Home was borne out of malice bereft of info.

The management assured “all Members of the Ondo State Home of Meeting and the great individuals of Ondo State of continued transparency to convey extra dividends of democracy to our individuals in accordance with our EASE authorities.”
