    Immigration increases passport fees to N100,000, N200,000

    The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has introduced an upward overview of the price of acquiring the Nigerian Customary Passport, with impact from September 1, 2025.

    Based on an announcement issued on Thursday by the Service Public Relations Officer, ACI AS Akinlabi, the brand new fees will apply solely to purposes processed inside Nigeria.

    Below the revised construction, a 32-page passport with five-year validity will now price N100,000, whereas a 64-page passport with 10-year validity will price N200,000.

    “The overview which solely have an effect on Passport Utility charges made in Nigeria, now set a brand new payment thresholds for 32-page with 5-year validity at N100,000 and 64-page with 10-year validity at N200,000,” the assertion learn.

    “In the meantime, Nigerian Passport Utility charges made by Nigerians in diaspora stay unchanged at $150 for 32-page with 5-year validity and $230 for 64-page with 10-year validity.”

    The service defined that the adjustment was designed to keep up the standard and integrity of the Nigerian passport whereas making certain accessibility for residents.
