Former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that he joined the opposition not as a result of President Bola Tinubu failed to supply him a political appointment.
Amaechi made this recognized on Thursday whereas that includes on Channels TV’s Politics As we speak.
“I by no means stole something in politics. I don’t drive a Rolls-Royce. I’m not in opposition as a result of Tinubu didn’t give me an appointment. I’m not enthusiastic about any appointments.
“If there’s anybody who says Amaechi deceived them, allow them to come ahead. If there was corruption in my tenure, allow them to come ahead. I’m ready,” he stated.
The previous Minister of Transport was among the many high politicians who, on Wednesday in Abuja, unveiled the African Democratic Congress, ADC, because the political platform for the coalition in opposition to Tinubu’s administration.
Will probably be recalled that the opposition coalition, on Tuesday, adopted the ADC as its political occasion forward of the 2027 basic elections.
