    I left Mavin Records prematurely – Reekado Banks admits

    Nigerian singer, Reekado Banks has admitted that he exited his former document label, Mavin Information, which shot him to fame, prematurely.

    Banks rose to prominence after getting signed to Mavin Information and profitable the Rookie of the 12 months at The Headies 2014, and receiving the controversial Subsequent Rated award at The Headies 2015.

    He, nevertheless, left the label in 2018 and launched his personal imprint, Banks Music.

    Talking in a latest interview with actuality star, Teddy A, on the Echoo Room, Banks revealed that he realised that his exit from Mavin was untimely when he began dealing with music enterprise by himself.

    He additionally clarified that his exit wasn’t attributable to a disagreement, stressing that his contract had ended two years earlier than he took the daring step of leaving as a substitute of renewing the contract.

    “It [my exit from Mavin Records] wasn’t a battle scenario. I used to be fairly younger and fairly fixated on what I wished to do -I wished to depart. Anyhow, my contract has ended two years prior. I signed a three-year contract and I allowed it to trip for an additional two years. So, I used to be there for 5 years with out reviewing the contract.

    “So, when it was time, I believed I wished to do that [leave] now. I believed I might do it now. I simply launched into the journey, as many individuals would view it, prematurely. As quickly as I jumped into the ocean as properly, I realised how untimely it was,” he mentioned.
