Yenagoa —Suspected gunmen, Sunday night time, reportedly killed the Neighborhood Improvement Committee, CDC, chairman of Igbomotoru 1 Neighborhood in Southern Ijaw Native Authorities Space, Bayelsa State.
It was gathered that the CDC Chairman, recognized as Mr Goodnews Manash, was ambushed behind the group’s faculty compound about 10:30p.m., Sunday, whereas on his method to a relative’s home.
Confirming the incident, the paramount ruler of the group, HRH Ayibaikie Ofongo, stated: “Between 12 midnight and 2a.m., Sunday, someone from the group referred to as to tell me that gunmen have kidnapped the CDC chairman of our group.

Additionally reacting , the Press Secretary to the Chairman of Southern Ijaw LGA, Mr Ayibaetare Easterday, condemned the incident, describing it as unlucky.
He stated: “The story is true however he was not killed in his home. He was killed shut to a different particular person’s compound, whom he was going to go to. It’s an unlucky incident and we pray that this sort of factor doesn’t occur once more.”
