    Fire razes parts of 25-storey building in Lagos

    Pandemonium broke out Tuesday night as hearth engulfed elements of the Nice Nigeria Insurance coverage Home, a 25-storey constructing on Martins Road, Lagos Island.

    In keeping with the Lagos State Hearth and Rescue Service, the incident was reported at about 4:41 p.m., prompting the quick deployment of firefighters from the Ebute Elefun and Dolphin hearth stations, with reinforcements from the Sari Iganmu station and the Alausa headquarters. Firefighters reportedly arrived on the scene inside 12 minutes, at roughly 4:53 p.m.

    The fireplace, the service stated, originated on the fifth flooring of the constructing and unfold downward from that stage, affecting as much as the fifth flooring of the 25-storey construction, which is essentially used as a warehouse for the storage and sale of clothes supplies, along with company workplaces and some retailers.

    As of press time, no casualties had been reported, whereas firefighters continued to battle the blaze and stop it from spreading to different elements of the constructing.

    Confirming the incident, Controller-Normal of the Lagos State Hearth and Rescue Service, Mrs. Margaret Adeseye, stated, “Firefighting operations are ongoing,” and warranted that each one vital measures had been put in place to deliver the scenario underneath management. She added that the reason for the fireplace was but to be decided.
