    FG needs ₦3trn to complete NNPCL tax credit road projects – Umahi

    The Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, has disclosed that the Federal Authorities requires ₦3 trillion to finish highway tasks awarded below the Nigeria Nationwide Petroleum Firm Restricted (NNPCL) tax credit score scheme.

    Umahi made the disclosure throughout a press convention on the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.

    He defined that following the NNPCL’s determination to halt funding from August 1, President Bola Tinubu has directed the ministry to discover various sources of financing to make sure no challenge is deserted.

    “Our President is a person with a big coronary heart. Regardless of the funding stoppage by NNPCL, Mr. President, as Chairman of the Federal Govt Council (FEC), directed that various funding mechanisms be put in place to make sure completion of all tasks,” Umahi stated.

    He famous that the ministry has compiled an inventory of all affected tasks and can current them to the President for consideration below Public-Personal Partnership (PPP) the place relevant, particularly for contractors with capability and funding.

    Umahi issued a stern warning to contractors delaying mobilization to web site, stressing that the ministry would now not tolerate laxity or manipulations.
