The Nigerians in Diaspora Fee (NiDCOM) has hailed the official declaration of July 5 as Ijaw Day by the Metropolis of Houston, Texas, describing it as a proud and historic milestone for the Ijaw folks, Bayelsa State, and Nigeria at massive.
In a press assertion signed by the Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, on Thursday in Abuja, the Fee mentioned the popularity highlights the rising affect of Nigerian diaspora communities and the growing world appreciation of Nigeria’s cultural heritage.
Chairman/CEO of NiDCOM, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, described the event as a major achievement that aligns with NiDCOM’s mandate to strengthen ties between Nigerians at dwelling and overseas, whereas preserving cultural identification.
She congratulated the Ijaw neighborhood and management in Houston for his or her dedication and advocacy, including that the popularity is each a celebration and a name to deepen diaspora engagement.
Dabiri-Erewa assured that NiDCOM stays dedicated to supporting initiatives that uplift Nigerian communities globally and foster partnerships that drive nationwide growth.
