    FCT council poll: We’ll resist any attempt to override voters’ will – ADC to Wike

    The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has condemned remarks by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.

    In a press release by its nationwide spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC described Wike’s alleged declaration of struggle towards anti-Tinubu candidates as reckless and inflammatory.

    The celebration warned that such rhetoric might deepen political tensions and undermine democratic stability, insisting that it’s the Nigerian individuals, not President Bola Tinubu or any minister, who will decide the result of the February 21, 2026 elections.

    It alleged that Wike and the All Progressives Congress, APC, try to intimidate voters, arguing that such techniques replicate their concern and rising unpopularity.

    The celebration, nevertheless, vowed to withstand any effort to subvert the need of Nigerians by all lawful and constitutional means.

    “The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has taken be aware of the deeply troubling assertion credited to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as reported by a number of information shops.
