Former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves, has expressed shock over Arsenal supervisor Mikel Arteta’s choice to substitute captain Martin Odegaard in the course of the Gunners’ 3-2 loss to Manchester United within the Premier League on Sunday.
Arteta determined to switch Odegaard with Mikel Merino within the second half whereas trailing 2-1.
Following the match on the Emirates Stadium, Hargreaves criticized the substitution, stating his dissatisfaction with the choice made by Arteta.
“I used to be stunned,” Hargreaves commented on Premier League Productions.
“I really like Eze, however Odegaard is the one to select a move as a result of Man United have been sitting deep.
“Eze isn’t that participant; he’s a dribbler, and there was no house in the course of the pitch.”
Arsenal’s subsequent match is in opposition to Kairat within the UEFA Champions League this Wednesday.
