A member of the Board of Trustees, BoT, of the Peoples Democratic Celebration, PDP, Bode George, stated the social gathering is law-abiding and respects the rule of regulation.
George made this assertion on Friday throughout an interview on Politics At the moment, a programme on Channels Tv monitored by DAILY POST.
He was responding to the controversy surrounding the social gathering’s Nationwide Conference scheduled for November 15 and 16.
DAILY POST experiences that the PDP has not too long ago been engulfed in inner political wrangling, leading to a break up into two factions. The faction loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, is chaired by Abdulrahman Mohammed, whereas the opposite is chaired by Umar Damagum.
DAILY POST additional experiences that Justice Peter Odo Lifu of the Federal Excessive Courtroom in Abuja had issued a final order preventing the party from proceeding with its 2025 National Convention scheduled for Ibadan, Oyo State.
George stated, “We (PDP) are a law-abiding organisation. Allow us to present to Nigerians that we consider within the rule of regulation.
“You can’t be a celebration disobeying courtroom judgement and then you definately say you wish to take over the reins of governance; allow us to obey the judgement of the courtroom.”
