    Chinese embassy probes alleged abandonment of Nigerian miners in Central African Republic

    The Chinese language Embassy in Nigeria stated it’s investigating a viral video exhibiting a bunch of Nigerian miners allegedly deserted by a Chinese language mining enterprise within the Central African Republic (CAR).

    The Embassy, in a press release, stated it was taking the incident severely and is working to find out the info surrounding the scenario.

    The video, which has been circulating on-line, purportedly exhibits Nigerian nationals left stranded by their Chinese language employer beneath unclear circumstances.

    “The Chinese language Embassy in Nigeria attaches nice significance to this matter and has initiated a direct investigation, which continues to determine the info,” the Embassy stated.

    The Chinese language authorities reiterated its place that every one Chinese language firms and residents conducting enterprise overseas are required to function in accordance with native legal guidelines and laws.


    It emphasised that compliance with the authorized frameworks of host international locations stays a strict obligation for all Chinese language enterprises abroad.

    In response to the scenario, the Embassy stated it might interact the concerned firm to make sure the matter is dealt with appropriately and responsibly.

    “The Chinese language aspect will urge the concerned firms to handle this matter appropriately, preserve shut communication with Nigerian authorities all through the investigation, and work collectively to safeguard the lawful rights and pursuits of residents of each nations,” the assertion added.
