The funeral prayer for former President, Muhammadu Buhari, has been moved to 2pm on Tuesday in Daura, his hometown.
The ceremony was earlier scheduled for Monday.
Briefing newsmen in Katsina, Governor Dikko Radda revealed that following consultations with the late President’s household and shut associates in London – the place he died – it has been agreed that the stays of the previous chief will arrive Katsina tomorrow, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, by 12 midday.
Governor Radda expressed deep condolences on behalf of himself, the Authorities, and the individuals of Katsina State, to the household of the late President and to all Nigerians mourning the lack of a “nationwide icon”.
“We pray Almighty Allah to grant his soul everlasting relaxation and reward him with Aljannatul Firdaus,” the Governor mentioned.
“We additionally condole His Excellency, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the passing of his predecessor. Could Allah give us the energy to bear this nice loss.
“The Authorities of Katsina State is coordinating with federal authorities and the household to make sure a befitting and dignified farewell for the late elder statesman.”
