Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has formally joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the coalition-backed get together he’s anticipated to align with forward of the 2027 elections.
Atiku made the announcement on Monday via his X deal with, posting a photograph of himself holding his ADC membership card with the temporary caption, “It’s official.”
His transfer follows his July resignation from the Peoples Democratic Social gathering (PDP), which had been mired in a protracted inside disaster.
Atiku resigned from the PDP two weeks after opposition politicians adopted and unveiled the ADC as their political platform forward of the 2027 presidential election.
