Armed bandits have killed 5 members of the Neighborhood Safety Guard (CPG) and two civilians in a lethal assault in Jangebe city, Talata Mafara Native Authorities Space of Zamfara State.
In line with Zagazola Makama, a counter insurgency reporter, the assault occurred on Friday afternoon.
Safety sources have it that it occurred when 5 CPG personnel, together with their Unit Commander, went to help in cultivating a farm on the outskirts of the village.
The victims had been ambushed by the assailants whereas engaged on the farm and all 5 CPG members had been shot useless.
Two different civilians – a male and a feminine – engaged on a close-by farm had been additionally killed throughout the assault.
Safety sources mentioned two pump-action rifles belonging to the CPG had been stolen by the attackers.
Safety forces have launched a manhunt for the fleeing bandits and vowed to carry the perpetrators to justice.
