The Benue State Police Command says it has no particulars of the kidnap of six Nigerian Legislation College college students supposedly kidnapped alongside the Benue/Taraba states’ border by armed bandits.
The scholar, who have been taken away by armed males, have been mentioned to be travelling from Onitsha in Anambra State to Yola in Adamawa State to renew educational actions on the Yola campus of the Nigerian Legislation College on Monday, July 28, 2025.
Experiences have it that the automobile conveying the scholars bumped into an ambush by armed males at a border group between Ukum Native Authorities Space, LGA, of Benue State and Wukari LGA in Taraba State, who whisked them away.
The axis is a dreaded space that’s identified for the actions of armed bandits who regularly assault and kidnap unsuspecting commuters together with native farmers.
Contacted on the event, the Chairman of Ukum LGA, Mr. Jonathan Modi who sounded blind to the event promised to name again however by no means did.
Efforts to have him converse on the problem have been ignored as he failed to choose calls put to his telephone.
The Public Relations Officer of the Benue State Poluce Command, Deputy Superintendent, DSP, Udeme Edet in her response mentioned, “I’ve not acquired particulars of the incident.”
