Makurdi: The remaining 10 passengers of the state-owned Benue Hyperlinks Transport Firm, kidnapped by gunmen alongside the Eke-Elengbecho axis of Okpokwu Native Authorities Space, LGA, of Benue State every week in the past, regained their freedom yesterday afternoon.
The victims, who had been ambushed and brought away by the armed males on Sunday, June 22, had been travelling from Abeokuta en path to Makurdi on the time of the incident.
Confirming the discharge of the passengers in an announcement, the Data Officer of the corporate, Johnson Daniel, stated “The passengers, who had been initially 12 on the level of abduction—with two earlier rescued—had been held towards their will by unidentified people however have now regained their freedom.
