Nigerian singer, Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, popularly generally known as Bella Shmurda, has expressed concern over the rising value of music promotion.
He lamented that a whole lot of artists are actually sceptical about releasing new music, particularly albums, as a result of growth.
Talking in a latest interview with Naija FM Lagos, the ‘Money App’ crooner defined that capturing a music video is now very costly, with the bottom price being N20 million.
He acknowledged many artists can’t afford music promotion charges, particularly for albums.
He mentioned, “To launch an album, you want an enormous price range, not like singles. As a result of for albums, you’re selling 10 to 14 songs suddenly. It’s lots.
“Selling songs on the radio, capturing movies for 5, six songs, is lots. Nowadays, the least you’ll be able to spend on a music video is N20 million. So, what number of artists can afford to capturing 5 movies?”
