Nigerian songstress Ayra Starr has made historical past as the primary African artist to earn a Latin Diamond certification.
Her worldwide collaboration with Rvssian and Rauw Alejandro, ‘Santa’, was licensed Latin Diamond by the Recording Business Affiliation of America (RIAA) for grossing over 35 million streams.
She joins Rema, whose tune ‘Bubalu’ is licensed Platinum, as the one African artists with RIAA Latin certifications.
‘Santa’ can also be licensed a number of Platinum in Spain and Mexico. It topped the Spanish chart and peaked at No. 2 in Colombia, Ecuador, and Central America.
