Politician, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has hailed ex-Vice President, Abubakar Atiku, for displaying a excessive degree of political tolerance and sagacity throughout his son’s defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Eze described Atiku as “an iconic, humane, trailblazer and sagacious politician”, who has distinguished himself within the record of Nigeria and Africa’s democrats.

Atiku, who’s searching for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential ticket, insisted it was his son’s private determination to leap ship.

Social media and different information platforms have been awash with the information of the defection of Abubakar Atiku Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, from the Peoples Democratic Get together (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The event has to this point elicited divergent reactions inside political circles, with some political analysts viewing the defection as uncalled for, ill-timed.

However opposite to condemnations in some quarters, Eze mentioned the defection is historic, private and a giant ethical and political lesson to President Tinubu and different undemocratic components alike, who parade themselves as democrats in Nigeria, when they’re certainly despots.

In an announcement on Tuesday, Eze, an APC Chieftain, opined that the defection of Abubakar, popularly often called Abba, has additional exemplified and projected Abba’s father, Atiku Abubakar, as one in all Africa’s seasoned democrats, with unblemished democratic ideas and accolades.

Eze held that by viewing the defection of his son (Abba) from the opposition PDP to the ruling APC, as solely private to Abba, the previous Vice President has as soon as once more raised the bar of democracy and democratic practices in Nigeria to an enviable degree.

“By supporting his son’s defection from PDP to APC, Atiku has raised the bar of democracy, thereby displaying and proving to the world that he’s actually, in phrases and actions, a refined and principled democrat.

“This singular act has confirmed Atiku as a person stuffed with political tolerance and sagacity, a beacon of democracy, who has what it takes to collaborate with Amaechi, Obi and others to redefine democratic governance and management in Nigeria, come 2027 when ADC might have taken over the reins of governance.

“Does anybody query Atiku’s standing as a democrat? Actually, the reply isn’t any. Certainly, Atiku by all ramifications is a number one democrat in Africa. His democratic credentials have continued to soar excessive by the day”.

“Atiku has now equalled the Saraki Dynasty in political tolerance, sagacity, acceptability and cohesion.” Chief Eze said.

The media guru contended that Atiku’s help for his son, Abba, has additional diminished President Bola Tinubu’s self-acclaimed ‘democrat standing’, in view of his administration’s hounding and intimidation of opposition politicians within the nation.

“You aren’t a democrat once you use state establishments to coerce, intimidate, and witch-hunt opposition components merely since you need to win an election. Such inhumane and undemocratic acts relegate one to the trash bin of devious, demented and egocentric tyrants and energy drunks.

In a veiled reference to President Tinubu, the APC Chieftain posited that “You have to not be a President to be a democrat and being a President doesn’t make one a democrat.

“At this time, Tinubu and his cohorts are doing every thing humanly potential not solely to coerce opposition political events but additionally to dismantle them in order that they won’t take part within the 2027 common election by means of the unholy acts of the EFCC and different comparable businesses of the federal government.

“These undemocratic acts depict Tinubu as a person incapable of tolerating dissent voices; and his crude kind of politics has and can all the time place Atiku Abubakar in a vantage place over him, within the annals of democrats.
