    AFCON: Leading top scorers so far

    Algeria captain, Riyad Mahrez is presently the main joint-top scorer on the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Morocco.

    This comes following the conclusion of the AFCON Group stage match-day spherical of fixtures performed on Wednesday.

    Mahrez has two objectives to his title, alongside Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson and Tunisia star Elias Achouri.

    The previous Manchester Metropolis winger netted a brace in Algeria’s 3-0 win in opposition to Sudan on Wednesday, whereas Jackson scored a brace in opposition to Botswana on Tuesday, and Achouri scored two objectives in his aspect’s victory in opposition to Uganda on Tuesday.

    AFCON high scorers forward of Group stage match-day two spherical of fixtures beginning on Friday:

    One aim – Lyle Foster (South Africa), Semi Ajayi (Nigeria), Ademola Lookman (Nigeria), Amad Diallo (Ivory Coast), Marvin Anieboh (Equatorial Guinea) and Mohamed Salah (Egypt).
