
The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) has arrested a former Speaker of Plateau State Home of Meeting, Moses Sule, alongside 14 former lawmakers over allegations of cash laundering and abuse of workplace.
EFCC Spokesperson Dele Oyewale disclosed this in an announcement on Wednesday in Abuja.
The fee’s spokesman mentioned the suspects had been arrested by operatives of the EFCC’s Makurdi Zonal Directorate on Tuesday, following petitions from involved residents within the state.
Oyewale defined that the previous legislators allegedly violated the provisions of the Cash Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022 and had been additionally implicated in procurement irregularities.
He defined that different lawmakers arrested alongside Sule included Gwottson Fom, Sani Abubakar, Jwe Gwom, Timothy Dantong, Happiness Akawu, and Cornelius Doeyok.
