…Commiserates with Plateau over dying of CAN chairman
A former presidential candidate, Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has commiserated with the federal government and other people of Benue State on the killings within the State which he stated appear to have defied logic and options.
It was reported that not less than 100 folks have been killed in an assault by gunmen in a village within the State, in keeping with Amnesty Worldwide Nigeria.
The assault happened from late Friday into the early hours of Saturday within the village of Yelwata.
Reacting to the killing,
Olawepo-Hashim urged President Bola Tinubu to finish the killings noting that because the Commander-in-Chief, he shouldn’t politically grand stand.
“No excuses, no finger pointing, simply finish the killings. The bloodletting has gone on for much too lengthy” he stated.
In the meantime, Olawepo-Hashim has additionally condoled with the Christian group in Plateau State over the dying of the Chairman of the Christian Affiliation of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Father Polycarp Lubo.
In a condolence letter to the State’s CAN, he maintained that “our coronary heart aches for you on this making an attempt interval.”
