    Nigeria can work if governance gaps are fixed — Bakare

    LAGOS — SERVING Overseer of the Citadel World Neighborhood, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has expressed confidence that Nigeria can succeed if the foundation causes of governance capability gaps are addressed with the fitting instruments.

    Bakare said this yesterday, throughout the signing of a Memorandum of Settlement, MoA, between the College of Lagos Enterprise College, ULBS, and the Citadel College of Authorities, CSG, held in Lagos.

    He mentioned whereas the MoA represented the institutional realisation of a imaginative and prescient birthed over seven years in the past when he was burdened by the hole between Nigeria’s governance challenges and the management capability out there to unravel them, the CSG and ULBS partnership would bridge such gaps.

    In line with him, to make the dream accessible, CSG would supply 87.5 per cent subsidised tuition to the pioneer class, lowering the N4 million programme worth to N500,000 payable in two instalments.

    He mentioned: “Over time, I’ve been privileged to guide a number of strategic interventions in governance-from nationwide protests to coverage advocacy; from training sector tasks to native governance capability constructing; from electoral participation to high-level, behind-the-scenes, political mediation and battle decision.

    “Whereas ULBS supplies top-rated school with nationwide and international recognition, we on the CSG will provide practitioners from the world of governance — from political management, civil society, public administration, company technique, and extra — in order that our college students are usually not solely taught however proven the trail by those that have walked it.”

    Additionally talking on the occasion, Govt Director of ULBS, Professor Mike Adebamowo, mentioned: “CSG goals to bridge the management hole within the public sector by making ready people at totally different levels of their management journeys with each the technical experience and behavioural competencies required for impactful governance.

    “However, ULBS stays dedicated to elevating world-class leaders in each private and non-private sectors. Our applications are meticulously designed to construct not simply efficient managers, however transformational leaders-people who’re ready to navigate and form our dynamic, aggressive world with strategic foresight and integrity. This MoA represents the convergence of those two daring visions.”
