The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has condemned remarks by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike.
In a press release by its nationwide spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC described Wike’s alleged declaration of struggle towards anti-Tinubu candidates as reckless and inflammatory.
The celebration warned that such rhetoric might deepen political tensions and undermine democratic stability, insisting that it’s the Nigerian individuals, not President Bola Tinubu or any minister, who will decide the result of the February 21, 2026 elections.
It alleged that Wike and the All Progressives Congress, APC, try to intimidate voters, arguing that such techniques replicate their concern and rising unpopularity.
