The Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee, INEC, has proposed a price range of ₦873.78 billion for the forthcoming common elections.
The Chairman of the Fee, Prof Joash Amupitan, submitted the proposal on Thursday throughout INEC’s presentation of its proposed price range.
INEC is proposing ₦873.78 billion for the 2027 common elections, with over ₦200 billion allotted to election expertise.
Amupitan, who offered the proposed price range earlier than a joint committee of the Senate and Home of Representatives on Electoral Issues, mentioned the price range is split into 5 main elements.
In response to the INEC chairman, ₦375.75 billion is earmarked for election operations.
He mentioned ₦92.31 billion can be used for election administrative prices.
Amupitan acknowledged that ₦209.21 billion is allotted for election expertise.
He added that ₦154.90 billion is for election capital prices, whereas ₦41.61 billion is put aside for miscellaneous bills.
