    Longtime buddies divided by battle, Raed is trapped in Gaza whereas George watches from afar, one locked in, one locked out.

    In October 2023, Beirut-based journalist George Azar loses contact together with his good friend and fixer in Gaza, Raed Athamneh. That they had created an unbreakable bond over 20 years, masking information tales collectively. Unable to achieve Gaza this time, George helplessly watches the horrific occasions unfolding on screens, traumatised by the escalating battle.

    He tries to make sense of the information popping out of Gaza by assembly with different journalists in Lebanon who’ve additionally skilled Israeli bombardment. Every day, George faces mounting nervousness when he doesn’t hear from Raed, who’s struggling to outlive the genocide.

    Locked Out, Locked In is a documentary movie by George Azar and Mariam Shahin.
