    Electoral fraud is the worst crime in democracy – Oshiomhole

    Former Governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole has described electoral fraud because the “worst crime” in a democracy, warning that vote shopping for and the manipulation of election outcomes undermine the need of the individuals.

    Oshiomhole spoke on Monday throughout an interview on Information Central’s Politics HQ whereas commenting on delays in Nigeria’s electoral reforms forward of the 2027 basic election.

    “My 2012 re-election in Edo State, I received in all of the 18 native authorities areas. I didn’t give cash to anyone,” he stated.

    In accordance with him, he brazenly instructed voters on the time that he wouldn’t take part in vote shopping for.

    “As a substitute, I instructed the voters, if my opponent, who allegedly had cash to provide you, you’ll be able to accumulate it, no receipt, no refund. However I’ve no cash to provide you, however I provides you with my all when it comes to growth,” Oshiomhole stated.
