The Lagos State Visitors Administration Authority (LASTMA) has confirmed {that a} loaded Mack 40 ft containerised truck fell on Ojuelegba Bridge inward Nationwide Stadium, Surulere.
The Director of the Public Affairs and Enlightenment Division of LASTMA, Mr Taofiq Adebayo, confirmed the event to the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.
Adebayo stated that the container fully blocked the highway whereas descending the bridge and blocked entry to different automobiles on the bridge.
“No casualty was recorded.
“All vehicular actions from Fadeyi and Onipan have been diverted via the service lane at Ojuelegba to burst out to Barracks to attach Funso Williams Avenue,” he stated.
He stated that personnel of LASTMA had been on the bottom with gear and actively coordinating crucial emergency and restoration measures to make sure protected and immediate evacuation of the truck.
“Within the interim and pending the conclusion of the evacuation, motorists are notified that the Ojuelegba Bridge inward stadium has been quickly closed to vehicular visitors,” he stated.
