Sixteen members of the Rivers State Home of Meeting, led by Speaker Martin Amaewhule, have left the Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Amaewhule disclosed the lawmakers’ determination throughout Friday’s plenary, attributing their defection to what he known as a “clear division” inside the PDP.
“Distinguished colleagues, very fortunately, let me announce that your speaker has determined and has certainly written to my ward chairman of my determination to depart the PDP. APC is my new occasion,” Amaewhule mentioned.
