    Regulator Warns Public Of Fake Social Media Accounts With Komolafe’s Name

    The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Fee (NUPRC) has raised an alarm over pretend social media accounts impersonating Mr Gbenga Komolafe, the Fee’s Chief Government.

    The NUPRC, nonetheless, cautioned the general public in opposition to partaking with such fraudulent impersonators.

    An announcement issued by the Fee’s Head of Media and Strategic Communication, Eniola Akinkuotu, mentioned that Komolafe has no social media handles on X, Fb, Instagram, or TikTok.

    Akinkuotu described the fraudulent accounts because the handiwork of impostors trying to mislead the general public utilizing Komolafe’s title and {photograph}.

    “The fee, subsequently, suggested members of the general public to be cautious of such accounts and keep away from having any interactions with such pages.

    “For the sake of readability, the fee’s chief govt has no social media accounts.

    “Members of the general public are subsequently suggested in opposition to interacting with such pages as a way to keep away from being defrauded,” he mentioned.

    He suggested members of the general public to depend on the upstream regulator’s official social media handles and web site, www.nuprc.gov.ng, for genuine data on statistics and actions.

    “The general public is enjoined to be cautious of the antics of impersonators whereas efforts are being made to deliver the fraudsters to ebook,” he added.
